Abstract
"In this learning object students will compare the structural and functional differences between the somatic and autonomic parts of the nervous system. Topics include anatomical components of the autonomic nervous system divisions; neurotransmitters and receptors involved in autonomic responses; and major responses of the body to stimulation by the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the ANS. Also included are the anatomical components of the autonomic nervous system divisions, the neurotransmitters and receptors involved in autonomic responses, and the major responses of the body to stimulation by the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the ANS. A video and self-assessment quiz are included.
