Abstract
This file is a zipped version of MET 1131 Personal Computer Applications for Engineering Technology delivered in a learning management system. The course is a first-year introduction to applying computer tools to solve engineering technology problems, emphasizing the integration of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and engineering research skills using the Internet.
This is a 1 credit hour course with 1.5 lab hours, delivered in a hybrid of online lecture and in-person labs. The course was designed for CBE (Competency Based Education) delivery where units can be bypassed if a student exhibits competency on unit pre-tests. The course typically is delivered over a 16 week semester, but flex-paced delivery allows for acceleration and rolling starts.
