Abstract

This resource contains the description and course outlines for the Mechatronics Technician Certificate and Degree Program, including options and requirements, offered at Clover Park Technical College, Lakewood, Washington. The certificate option prepares students to install, repair, diagnose and perform routine maintenance on mechatronic equipment used in industry today. Degree options offer additional courses to build expertise in electrical systems (analog and digital), programmable logic controllers, mechanical systems, sensors and actuators, pneumatics and hydraulics, and robotics. The objective of the program is to provide graduates with a base of knowledge and practical skills to serve as well-rounded technicians and to be well-prepared for continued technical education in this dynamic field.
