Abstract

This learning object covers electron arrangement, and describes energy levels, sub-levels, and orbitals in atoms. The learning object references use of the periodic table to write orbital diagrams and electron configurations. Periodic properties are also discussed as it relates to valence electrons, metallic character, and ionization energy. This learning object is part 6 of 17 parts that comprise this Introductory Chemistry Course.
