Abstract
This is an introductory course that emphasizes networking fundamentals, explaining the software and hardware that makes networking possible. A brief introduction to networking history provides context, explaining how networks have become so important to business and individuals. Topics will include TCP/IP protocol suite, the OSI Model, network topologies, structured cabling, WAN architecture and remote connectivity, fiber optic systems, voice/video over IP, and wireless systems.
