Abstract
We came together for the first time in 2019 at the Harvard Kennedy School. As a group of
educators from around the world we shared few pre-existing bonds beyond similar expertise. But when we met we knew that this was one of those communities whose time had come, and collaboration flourished thereafter. We rapidly agreed that our strategy would be to assist and support people who teach current-and-future public servants, with an initial focus on lecturers and professors within universities, especially within public administration and public policy schools. We carried out analysis of our prospective learners, gathered data and spoke to potential teaching partners.
Using these findings, we started to produce deliverables aimed at assisting these individuals. Our most significant deliverable to date is a free, open-access syllabus designed to be slotted in as a semester-long module alongside other required courses in schools of public policy/administration - for example economics, statistics, public finance and so on.
