Abstract

QA/QC is the combination of quality assurance, the process or set of processes used to measure and assure the quality of a product, and quality control, the process of meeting products and services to consumer expectations. Quality Assurance is process oriented and focuses on defect prevention, while quality control is product oriented and focuses on defect identification. This category includes materials on AS9100, a widely adopted, standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry, and non-destructive testing, a group of analysis techniques used in industry to evaluate properties of a component or system without causing damage. AS9100 materials are in outline form designed to be used by industry seeking AS9100 certification. Non-destructive testing folder includes instructional and student materials for a 40-hour credit course as part of a program in advanced manufacturing.
