Abstract

This course will provide a complex understand of tooling selection and application with regard to tool geometries, tool coatings, and toolpath strategy. This course will provide the necessary knowledge to properly implement 5 axis machining techniques to maximize tool life and efficiency in production machining of complex components. Students will also gain an in-depth understanding of the effect of tool geometry on machining parameters. This resource provides links to training materials from Sandvik Coromant and Kyocera SGS. There are syllabi, tests, competency sheets and final exams included with this material.
