Abstract

Project objective 1) Strengthen the PIT-DSC program with a fully developed Data Solutions Design Studio. Project objective 2) Expand partnerships with PIT research teams. Project objective 3) Expand PIT-DSC’s effort on diversity and inclusion in data science pipelines to include students from other CUNY colleges. Project objective 4)Further develop infrastructures for the PIT-UN community: training data scientists as mentors, growing a network of non-profit organizations as project sponsors, instituting a design studio for project design and management, and recruiting faculty as collaborators. Project objective 5) Evaluate and develop new knowledge about PIT Data Science URE in terms of learning outcomes, ethics, pipeline diversity & inclusion; identify stakeholders’ interests and curricular elements for PIT education.
