Abstract

The Certified Production Technician program (CPT) offered at Mineral Area College is composed of the following 4 courses: �ۢ TEC1930 Manufacturing Safety �ۢ TEC1580 Quality Control & Testing �ۢ TEC1560 Manufacturing Processes �ۢ MFG1060 Manufacturing Equipment & Operations Each of these courses align with the Knowledge Skills and Abilities for the CPT as described by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC). MSSC is the certifying body for the CPT program. Students have the opportunity to receive ���full�۝ CPT status by completing all 4 courses and associated assessments. Students may also receive individual MSSC credentials by completing any one of the CPT courses and associated assessment. In addition students may obtain their OSHA 30 General Industry credential by successfully completing the TEC1930 Manufacturing Safety course. All courses in the CPT program are for college credit and are part of Associate Degree programs in the Technology Department at Mineral Area College.
