Industry Partner

An Industry Advisory Panel was established to develop the College Transition and Bridge courses. The panel consisted of representatives from a variety of industries, including agriculture, consumer protection, environmental protection, food processing, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. Advisory Panel members contributed to the design, development and delivery of the courses developed through this TAACCCT grant. The members also provide opportunities for work-based learning and job placements for program graduates.

Abstract

This course is designed for students preparing to pursue a Manufacturing course of study at the college level. It provides a strong foundation in math, science, and technology, covering algebra, geometry and industrial workplace math. It provides a basic understanding of physics and scientific principles specific to the manufacturing industry incorporating basic technology and computer skills. Please note that all course materials and content are provided in the IMS Common Cartridge (IMSCC) format.
