Abstract

This course focuses on occupations in composites manufacturing today and examines critical skills required. Topics include materials, technology, and processes. A unit on composites for the aerospace industry will include topics in regulatory compliance and terminology. Technical documentation will be introduced and workplace safety will be stressed. Students will have an opportunity to earn the OSHA 10 hour certification at the end of the course. Instruction will incorporate hands-on lab work, discussion, demonstration, lecture, and assigned readings.
