Abstract

Diesel Skills is a 2 credit hour lab course that will allow students, in a laboratory experience to develop new skills and reinforce old ones. Students, with help from the instructor will choose the area they wish to develop and work at their own pace. Diesel Skills is a great way for students to gain valuable experience working on live equipment. This course has been set up to mimic a job in a functioning shop where students have the option to work on personal projects or be assigned a project by the instructor. Students are required to keep track of their hours and write service reports just like they will be required to do once they are employed
