Abstract

Health Information Technology is a rapidly expanding industry sector. Healthcare employers now expect graduates of Nursing and Allied Health programs to have some knowledge of health IT. IT Faculty may also wish to add health IT certificates or degrees to their program options. However, because health IT is a relatively new area, faculty often need professional development opportunities and instructional resources to effectively integrate health IT content into their programs. On this web page are HIT faculty development resources that were piloted by Bellevue College at multiple institutions. These resources offer a variety of approaches and formats for both health IT faculty development and health IT instruction. Please see the Overview document for a list of the resources.
