Abstract
This class meets twice a week for a total of 4 hours. Lecture ranges anywhere from 30-40 min. The remainder of the time is used for students to review the software applications taught in today’s lesson and work on assigned projects.
This course is designed to familiarize students with current manufacturing processes using CAM software. Students are required to do a minimum of one project on the CNC Machining Centers and one project on the CNC Turning Centers. The project includes, programming, machine set up, machining, and tear down to produce the parts to required specifications. Students will be required to inspect their parts to see if it matches tolerances on the print.
