Abstract
WEL 142 covers welding in the 2F and 2G positions on various joint configurations using the SMAW (stick), GMAW (mig), GTAW (tig) and the FCAW (flux core) welding process on carbon steel, adjusting parameters and operating equipment utilizing the various filler materials for each process. Layout procedures, Safety, Blueprint reading skills and weld symbol identification will be practiced during this course.
