The Connecticut Health & Life Sciences TAACCCT consortium engaged statewide and local employers to help shape and implement this grant. This included a review of proposed curricula and recommendations for program structure that reflects the health care and Science sectors in the State of Connecticut. The consortium also engaged advisory boards at each member college to solicit input and recommendations for this initiative.

Abstract
This program of study prepares students to be Surgical Technicians. Surgical Technicians prepare operating rooms for use, maintain a sterile environment, hand instruments to the surgeon, maintain records and assist with patient care.
