Abstract

This course will introduce students to personal protective equipment (PPE), workplace safety, confined space, and hot work permits. Students will learn and follow safety procedures, standard operating procedures, safe operation, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), OSHA rules and regulations that pertain to the welding technology areas. WELD 1555 is required for the Welding Certificate of Completion and the Welding Associates of Applied Science degrees.
