Abstract
After the second year of PIT funding, we hit all major milestones with the deployment of another 5 nodes (one funded by PIT) at sites including the Tacoma Public Library main branch and 4 Tiny Home villages (Nickelsville Northlake, Nickelsville Central District, LIHI Southend, and LIHI Progressive Skyway); operation of 5 Digital Stewards class cohorts (with community activists, at-risk high school youth, and formerly incarcerated people); and the completion of our
undergraduate “Community Networks” capstone that had been funded in the prior round. We also iterated on the Digital Stewards teaching materials and made them publicly available. Lastly, we won BEST OVERALL winner in The Proof of Concept Category of the IEEE Connect the Unconnected (CTU) challenge.
