Abstract
Hyrbid course curriculum material for the second half (4 credit hours) of a Certificate of Competence in GIS in Ecosystem Management. Course material includes online modules to take the place of lectures, weekly labs and assignments, grading rubrics, details on 3 field trips for hands-on practice with GPS units, a final project with a focus on spatial analysis, and a weekly Workflow for students and instructors. Course provides ecological focus in the datasets and walks students through the process of creating a research question that could be answered with GIS and then teaching spatial analysis techniques to help answer the question. Pre-requisite is GIS 150: Intro to GIS and GPS
