Industry Partner

An Industry Advisory Panel was established to develop the Laboratory Technology program and courses. The panel consisted of representatives from a variety of industries, including agriculture, consumer protection, environmental protection, food processing, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. Advisory Panel members contributed to the design, development and delivery of the courses developed through this TAACCCT grant. The members also provide opportunities for work-based learning and job placements for program graduates.

Abstract

This course introduces students to the work involved in a career as a laboratory technician and provides hands-on experience working in the laboratory environment. Topics include lab techniques and data management. This course incorporates methods to increase study and work strategies for optimal achievement in college and the workplace. Please note that all course materials and content are provided in the IMS Common Cartridge (IMSCC) format.
