Abstract
This course is designed to introduce learners to the world of machining and gain basic skills for entry-level industry jobs. Students will develop an understanding of both hand and power tool usage as it pertains to Manufacturing. This course covers safety, fasteners, measurement, hand tools, basic bench work, hand-held power tools, vertical and horizontal band saw, and drill press. Course will be delivered through hands-on instruction emphasizing safety and proper operation through a series of projects.
