Abstract
This theory/lab course is designed as a hands-on approach to the fundamentals of the Apple desktop, portable, and mobile computer hardware and OS X Operating System. OS X topics such as installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customization, applications, network setup and peripherals will be covered in detail. Mobile system iOS setup, configuration, and applications will also be covered. Topics covered throughout this course will prepare students for both the Mac Integration Basics Certification and the Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) OS X Support Essentials Exam.
Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification verifies an understanding of OS X core functionality and an ability to configure key services, perform basic troubleshooting, and support multiple users with essential OS X capabilities. ACSP certification is designed for the help desk professional, technical coordinator, or power user who supports OS X users, manages networks, or provides technical support for the Mac.
