Abstract
The State Fair Community College DMS program consists of five semesters developed to introduce students to basic Diagnostic Medical Sonography information, prepare students for entry-level positions in the field of Sonography, and help each person prepare for the ARDMS/CCI registry exams. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded and associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Students are exposed to General, OB-GYN, and vascular during their training.
All classes are offered online, with the exception of Scanning Techniques (scan lab) and ultrasound clinical education, which is completed in the clinical setting (hospital/clinic/imaging center). Requirements for enrollment into the DMS courses: applicant must meet all prerequisite requirements that are listed in the application package.
