Abstract

This course provides an overview in which environmental science and protection technicians can study the principals of water quality management. Topics will include; quality standards for drinking water, regulations, and health and aesthetic aspects of drinking water. Chemical principals, source water composition, watershed protection, and water treatment processing will be presented along with discussions of the role environmental science and protection technicians will have in water quality testing and remediation processes. Prerequisite(s): Grade of ā€œCā€ or better in CHM 101, ENV 205 and PLS 255.
