Abstract
This course was developed by Bellevue College and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs with funding from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). This 25- to 36-hour, introductory level online course provides foundational skills and knowledge in health care data analytics to employees in health care organizations. The training will equip them to contribute more effectively to organizational data analytics and performance improvement efforts. This practical course is appropriate for individuals in a wide range of both clinical and non-clinical roles with varied analytics experience. There are no pre-requisites; however basic skill in Microsoft Excel is highly recommended.
The course is divided into six topical modules which are composed of visually rich recorded lectures, numerous interactive activities, readings, videos, and assessments. Also included is a final project that gives participants the chance to synthesize and apply concepts learned throughout the course.
