Abstract
"In the learning object, students will be introducted to macromolecules, and the four types of large biological molecules essential to life: 1) carbohydrates, 2) lipids, 3) proteins, 4) nucleic acids. Information on monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides and how these are broken down the hydrolysis or dehydration processes. Resources include videos, animations, interactive activities, and self-assessments. When you have completed your review of the module, try the self-assessment to check your knowledge. This learning object is part 8 of 24 parts that comprise the General Biology 1 course.
