The Connecticut Health & Life Sciences TAACCCT consortium engaged statewide and local employers to help shape and implement this grant. This included a review of proposed curricula and recommendations for program structure that reflects the Healthcare and Science sectors in the State of Connecticut. The consortium also engaged advisory boards at each member college to solicit input and recommendations for this initiative.

Abstract
This program of study prepares students to function as a professional utilizing current standards of nursing practice. Six core values--critical thinking, safe and competent practice, caring, professionalism, communication and holistic care--provide the framework for organizing the nursing curriculum.
