Abstract
This contextualized curriculum module was developed by EDC in collaboration with industry partners, community college faculty and MCCWDTA project leadership. The module focuses on reading technical information and includes a healthcare scenario based on the role of a pharmacy technician. In addition to the scenario, the module includes the relevant Common Core and ABE standards; core instructional context related to teaching those standards; sample contextualized learning activities; sample contextualized test items; sample projects; and extension resources. The module is one of 36 contextualized curriculum modules developed by EDC for the MCCWDTA project.
