Abstract

This learning object covers the unit of moles, molar mass, and the use of Avogadro's number to determine the number of particles in a given number of moles. The use of subscripts to convert between moles of a compound and moles of an element in a chemical formula are also discussed. The object further identifies the use of subscript ratios combined with Avogadro's number and molar mass to calculate atoms and mass. This learning object is part 12 of 17 parts that comprise this Introductory Chemistry Course.
