Abstract

Post mastectomy prosthetic care is an option for those who have undergone surgical intervention of the breast to restore balance, symmetry, and confidence through the use of noninvasive external prosthetic breast forms. This type of care is carried out by a specifically trained professional called a mastectomy fitter. Our goal throughout this short course, is to inform you a little about prosthetic care and options after a mastectomy and the health care professionals that provide this type of care.
