The Connecticut Health & Life Sciences TAACCCT consortium engaged statewide and local employers to help shape and implement this grant. This included a review of proposed curricula and recommendations for program structure that reflects the Healthcare and Science sectors in the State of Connecticut. The consortium also engaged advisory boards at each member college to solicit input and recommendations for this initiative.

Abstract
This program of study prepares students for careers in environmental science and toxicology. Employment opportunities include such areas as laboratory services; regulatory compliance fish wildlife and natural resource management; pollution prevention; solid and hazardous waste; and water and wastewater, air pollution and public health protection.
