Abstract
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the tools and equipment used in the Diesel industry. DESL 1595 Diesel Essentials is a required course to obtain an Associates of Applied Science Degree or Certificate of Completion in Diesel Technology. This is a 2 credit class that meets twice a week, 3 hours a day for 8 weeks. This class spends 1 hour in a classroom and 2 hours in the lab doing hands on troubleshooting. Homework is assigned before classes and materials are designed to help the student understand the subject matter of that particular class.
