Abstract

The Stainless Steel Welding Basics (GTAW) certificate introduces students to the specialty of stainless steel, allowing them to learn at their own pace. All courses in the Stainless Steel Welding Basics GTAW certificate program directly transfer to the Welding technical diploma. The Welding technical diploma then integrates significantly more hands on learning opportunities to create a well-rounded welding skill set in a wide variety of welding processes, such as shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, submerged arc, oxyacetylene cutting and brazing, plasma arc, and arc-air cutting. Students are prepared to take welding certification tests upon completion of this pathway.
