Abstract
This course provides students with an understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability as if pertains to building design. Emphasis will be place on materials and material usage, energy systems, and location selection to provide the minimal impacts on the environment. This course will be web-enhanced by the Amatrol Sustainable building modules: solar concepts, wind concepts and alternative energy through out the course. The Sustainable building design class is a 3 credit hour course taught 3 days per week.
