Abstract
The serum/plasma to be tested is combined with appropriate red blood cells. Ortho Antibody Enhancement Solution (OAES) is added to provide optimal conditions for the rapid uptake of blood group antibodies by red cells. After incubation at 37ºC for a minimum of 10 minutes, the test is centrifuged and examined. Unbound serum proteins are removed from the red blood cells and anti-human globulin is added.
