Abstract
This industry-specific workforce course is designed to provide classroom and clinical experience instruction necessary to prepare individuals for entry-level positions as Pharmacy Technicians and pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam. Certification is often required by many states to practice as a Pharmacy Technician. Students will gain a broad knowledge of pharmacy practice, and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, package, and compound and otherwise prepare medications. The training program is held over a twelve week period, combining intensive classroom instruction with clinical experiences. The clinical experiences are conducted with an industry partner and held in a pharmacy setting.
