Abstract

The objective of the course is to provide an overview of the hand tools that O&P professionals use in the fabrication, adjustment, and repair of orthoses, prostheses, and certain orthopedic devices. You will read descriptions of the tools' attributes and utility, engage in on-screen activities, and watch video demonstrations. The course is primarily intended for those just starting an academic O&P Technician program, or those interested in pursuing such a career—but it is not required that you have prior O&P experience to successfully complete.
