Abstract
This class is designed for graduates of the FRCC Intermediate or Advanced Machining class (or by the permission of the instructor) who would like a basic knowledge of machine shop quality control and inspection. The module was designed by machinists and machine shop owners and managers and will provide the skills necessary to gain employment or provide future career success. Students will gain knowledge of the skills, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Fixturing and Setup, Use of a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Optical Comparator, and introduction to the concepts of Statistical Process Control, ISO and Quality Measurement Systems.
