Abstract
This course is intended to provide a basic survey of IT security. The principles of confidentiality, integrity and availability are introduced. The course walks users through aspects of Information Security and presents the value of securing data. This course will introduce the student to the steps taken to secure data and information and the liability of individuals and organizations related to data confidentiality and integrity. Course topics include securing personal information, identifying incidents, and computer ethics. The course will also present best practices in computer security, Internet usage, and password management.
