Abstract
This document contains a compilation of instructional resources related to Health Informatics, which may include content sources, learning activities, discussion questions, and assessment questions. These health IT materials were designed to be infused into existing Nursing, Allied Health, and IT programs.
The U.S. National Library of Medicine defines health informatics as the interdisciplinary study of the design, development, adoption, and application of IT-based innovations in healthcare services delivery, management, and planning. The increased use of data in healthcare is expanding the role of informatics, and the analysis of this data to improve care, inform clinical decisions, and increase efficiency. The activities, assessments and resources below are appropriate for nursing students and those in other healthcare, IT, or Health IT disciplines.
