Abstract
This project includes a complete course design for teaching the course with related learning materials. It also includes a sample schedule for delivering the course.
**** This hands-on course focuses on the principles of network data communications. Serial and parallel protocols, network topologies and cabling media will be explored. . Time will be spent analyzing ethernet TCP/IP, CIP, and other industrial protocols such as DeviceNet and ControlNet. Students will configure and troubleshoot networks and discuss the importance of network security.
