The Dental Assisting program extended to rural Alaska by efforts at Maniilaq Health Services where the Chief of Dentistry, A. Kirkland is teaching a course on Infection Control. Kirkland is also reviewing the courses developed under the Project. Maniilaq Health Services through rural Chukchi Campus in Kotzebue, Alaska, and Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation through Kuskokwim Campus in Bethel, Alaska have plans to use the courses and program to teach employees and potential employees in lieu of time consuming on the job training.
