Abstract

This Catalog documents the learning resources and program support materials developed by the Connecticut Health and Life Sciences Career Initiative that was funded through a Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor. The project was led by Norwalk Community College and included the following consortium members: Capital Community College, Charter Oak State College, Eastern Connecticut State University, Gateway Community College, Manchester Community College, Middlesex Community College, and Norwalk Community College. The seven Connecticut institutions focused their attention on high-growth entry and mid-skill occupations in the Healthcare Sector that will help students and workers prepare for a wide range of Allied Health occupations including Health Information Technology. All products included in this catalog were developed by the partner colleges. These resources were produced with federal grant funds and reviewed for content, overall quality, and completeness by each college’s curriculum review board and by the consortium’s Third-Party Review contractor, PPM Associates. In some cases, the learning resources were also reviewed by external subject matter experts and/or national accrediting entities. The catalog is organized by member college with their associated products presented within.
