Abstract

East Central College, under the MO Manufacturing Wins Grant, was provided an opportunity to pilot a non-credit welding program designed specifically to respond to the immediate needs of regional employers. This non-credit welding program consists of an 8-week training program that provides participants with National Career Readiness Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, and 40 hours of proficiency in MIG Welding. Additionally, this program is offered at 4 locations within our service region as a means to better accommodate participant and employer needs.
