Abstract
This course is a study of the principles of Sustainability. This course applies the concepts of engineering and technology utilizing the framework of sustainability to green technologies, building maintenance, recycling, and environmental stewardship.
Sustainability is defined, demonstrated and applied, beginning with how the environment and ecosystems work from a scientific perspective, understanding climate and geology, and applying ecological stewardship to improve sustainability in our environment. Students will learn about implementing engineering and technology that focuses on sustainability. They will take their basic knowledge of Life Cycle Analysis and Life Cycle Cost and apply those concept to principles to process management and sustainability.
