Abstract
"This learning object,1.13 Downstream Processing eLearning Modules html package, is an introduction to biopharmaceutical production and provides an overview of the biomanufacture of a monoclonal drug within a virtualized downstream processing environment. This educational tool utilizes text, illustrations, and video animations (e-learning) to detail the workflow, operations, and instrumentation involved in the batch production of a monoclonal antibody under cGMP conditions.
This object details a typical downstream production workflow for a monoclonal antibody and includes activities such as: bioreactor operations, harvest and clarification, multiple membrane filtration steps, a series of chromatography purifications, Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration, and bulk fill. Support materials include resources such as: text, illustrations, animations, interactive activities, and self-assessments. Once a participant has completed a review of the modules, self-assessments provide a means to check your knowledge.
This e-learning material was developed in part referencing the Introduction to Biomanufacturing textbook, Northeast Biomanufacturing Center and Collaborative, Published 2012. The platform is packaged as a zip file. After the files are unzipped (extracted), the learning object can be accessed and viewed with a web-browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, and Windows Explorer). It is associated with a READ ME (instructions) file on how to install and run the application, READ ME Simple Instructions to Access the DSP html.

This educational tool utilizes text, figures, and video animations to detail the workflow, operations, and instrumentation involved in the batch production of a monoclonal antibody under cGMP conditions.
