Abstract

This course provides an introduction to use of orthotic and prosthetic devices in animal rehabilitation, recovery and stability. We’ll focus on canines, the major recipients of animal O&P products and rehabilitation. O&P practitioners work in tandem with veterinarians to assess, design and develop treatment, and to assist with follow-up care. O&P practitioners may also find employment with animal-specific device manufacturers.
