Abstract

Course Syllabus for Mechanical Devices & Systems: This course provides an overview of the principles and concepts of installation, preventative maintenance and repair of mechanisms found in industrial operations. Concepts will cover rotary motion, torque, gear ratios and power transmission. Concepts are applied to belt and chain drive systems, conveyor systems, bearings, sheaves, lubrication, sprockets and mechanical fasteners. Labs will emphasis installation, repair and maintenance procedures using common hand, power and measurement tools
