The Connecticut Health & Life Sciences TAACCCT consortium engaged statewide and local employers to help shape and implement this grant. This included a review of proposed curricula and recommendations for program structure that reflects the Healthcare and Science sectors in the State of Connecticut. The consortium also engaged advisory boards at each member college to solicit input and recommendations for this initiative.

This program of study prepares students to be Health Information Management professionals. These professions are involved in the collection, storage and sharing of the health information data--clinical, administrative, insurance,--required to meet the professional, legal and administrative record keeping requirements of the health care delivery system.
